Hello from Israel. We have been to the ports in both Haifa and Ashdod and traveled by bus to other towns. We visited Nazareth, the Sea of Gallilee, and Jerusalem. Denali has lots of photos and wants to share information about the trip, but once we leave port, the connection fails. We are at sea over night and then arrive in Alexandria, Egypt tomorrow morning. We will then leave the ship and tour the pyramids and spend the night in Cairo. They have suggested leaving the computer aboard the ship for safety reasons, so we may not be in touch for a couple days.
Denali has been very popular and fascinating to the local people. They recognize a moose, but have a hard time understanding why I would dip his "hooves" into the River Jordan. Having his picture taken with a guard or tour operator brings a smile to their faces.
We had a lovely room on board, but they called 2 days ago and offered the Royal Suite if we were willing to move. Don't know why they picked us, but we were packed in minutes and now enjoying a deck with a whirlpool bath!! Will share the photos when we return. Love to all.
